What’s Happening in August at Katzman Family Center for Living!

August is a busy month at the Katzman Family Center for Living. We’re continuing our summer BBQ and concerts series outdoors each week. Residents, families and staff look forward to delicious seasonal treats as well as a medley of musical favorites. Plus, our recent outing to Polcari’s was a huge success. The residents savored the authentic Italian menu.

We’re excited to report that we’ve expanded our communal dining to include a second dining room on the 3rd floor. Additionally we have expanded the highly acclaimed Music & Memory program, located on the 3rd floor of our Dementia Special Care Unit. We can now accommodate more residents who will benefit from personalized playlists.

Residents are thrilled that services have resumed in the spa. While our hairdresser has been with us for several months, Magda and Nancy are now back offering nail and facial treatments. Clearly the spa is the place to be these days!

In terms of family visits, we continue to offer in-room visits for residents and families who have received the vaccine. Cafe visits for unvaccinated residents and families are available, as our virtual visits via FaceTime and Zoom.

We have August birthdays to celebrate at the Katzman Family Center. Wishing the following residents a very Happy Birthday!
