What’s Happening at Cohen Florence Levine Estates and Florence & Chafetz Specialized Care
September has been a busy time at the assisted living. For our Jewish residents, the High Holy Day were celebrated with meaningful services and delicious food. Traditional favorites such as brisket, roast chicken, bagels and lox, salads and an array of freshly baked desserts were served at the celebratory meals.
Residents look forward to our restaurant outings and this month was no exception. We visited the The Marina at the Wharf and the always popular Cheesecake Factory. Our Mystery Rides with beloved Jimmy Honohan never fail to delight the residents. Also on the schedule: live entertainment in the form of a jamboree with Bunker Hill and a birthday party with Sigy Moller.
This fall, we will embark upon a series of specially themed events. First up: Country Western Day on September 23. Staff and residents dress for a “country jamboree” with western gear such as bandanas, cowboy boots and cowboy hats. The festive day will feature games, music and themed food for residents, along with a special lunch for staff.
As always, movie days at the café on Thursdays are popular as well as bingo on Tuesdays and Fridays. It’s wonderful to see so many of our residents in attendance.
