What’s Happening at BCL

The Jewish holiday of Purim, which celebrates the bravery of Queen Esther of Persia, was a festive time for all. The staff dressed in costumes for the traditional Purim Costume Parade and paraded through the  houses. They distributed costume accessories to all the residents as well as gave out the traditional Purim Hamantashen cookies. There were smiles all around!

Later in March, BCL will host a “Revere Beach Party”  to help dispel winter and celebrate the arrival of warm weather. There will be  unique memorabilia as well as tasty “beach food” treats.

Passover, which commemorates the Exodus of the Jewish people from Egypt, leaving behind 400 years of living in slavery, and moving toward freedom in the promised land, will begin the end of March. Although we are not able to have a Seder this year due to pandemic restrictions, we will bring the seder plate and explanatory cards to each household. Residents will have everything they need to celebrate this special holiday.
