Kaplan Estates resident surprised with parade for 93rd birthday
Eleanor “Helen” Dittmer, a much beloved resident at The Harriett and Ralph Kaplan Estates Assisted Living, celebrated her 93rd birthday with a social distancing drive-by parade.
The parade included police cars, fire engines, two trucks and 20 vehicles with relatives. Family members waved, cheered and sang Happy Birthday as they passed Helen’s apartment window. Helen’s winning smile said it all. She was waving and blowing kisses to everyone who drove by. Happy Birthday Helen!
