Meet Tammy Starion, Brudnick Center for Living’s Director of Nursing

Tammy Starion RN, BSN, MSN, has seen the healthcare system from all sides. She worked as a CAN for five years while obtaining her BSN.  Tammy started her career in the ICU at Salem Hospital, and while there, she opened the Cardiac Surgical Unit.  After being employed in an acute care setting for 13 years, Tammy returned to long term care.

In 2017, while working full time as a director of nurses at Chelsea Jewish Lifecare, Tammy received her MSN.  She is very grateful for the support she received from the organization while obtaining her degree. Tammy’s vast experience has helped her lead the nursing department at BCL for the last five years.

“The COVID-19 vaccine is a bright spot following a year like we have never seen before,” said Tammy. “I am very excited that the long term care industry has offered our staff and residents the oppportunity to take the vaccine. I strongly encourage all family members to get vaccinated when they are able so.” She added, “The vaccine will allow us to return to more normal times in the future.”

Tammy is a life-long resident of Peabody, where she is very ingrained in the community. Although she moved to Danvers recently, Tammy is still actively involved in the Peabody community. Her son attends school in Peabody and she is at BCL for work.  In her spare time, Tammy can be found with her family enjoying the outdoors or on the sidelines cheering her son Dylan at numerous sporting events.
