Look at What’s Happening in Peabody!
Residents and staff at Kaplan Estates celebrated for National Assisted Living Week with live entertainment by Howie Conley’s Memory Laners. The popular musical group played a medley of hits from the 50’s and 60’s.
This month’s International Festival will focus upon Israel, showcasing historical sites of interest to a variety of religious backgrounds. A medley of Israeli foods will be offered as residents learn about the how history connects all different backgrounds to the Holy Land.
A new series called “Michele’s Musings” debuted this month! Led by Spiritual Leader Michele Tamaren, this interactive discussion, aptly entitled “The Healing Power of Community” was a hit from the start. Residents of all religions are invited to participate. The series allows individuals to look inward and then share their common experiences. The overwhelming consensus: the topics relate to each of us in different ways.
Our Legacy residents became deeply engrossed in their watercolor classes by Arts of Gold. Their paintings were colorful, original, and absolutely beautiful. Residents also took part in flowers arranging classes, which resulted in an array of creative arrangements.And as always, the monthly summer BBQ’s were savored by all.
Over at Brudnick Center, the second floor memory care enjoyed a lively Tiki Bar Party, complete with food, drinks, and themed décor. Our fourth floor enjoyed an “End of Summer” party, with musical entertainment by the acclaimed Bill Sokolow and Tom Sheehan.
The recent outing to Burton’s Grill & Bar in Lynnfield was a huge success. Delicious food and lively conversation were on the menu!
