Giving Thanks at Katzman Center for Living

Thanksgiving is such a special holiday, and while it will look a little different to all of us this year, there are still many ways to celebrate this meaningful day. For example, gratitude trees will be displayed in the Katzman Center lobby. Over the next few weeks, staff members will be asking families and residents to write down the things they are grateful for this year. The tags will then be put on “gratitude trees.” There will be two trees — one for families and residents; the other will be for the staff.

Staff and residents were pleased to share their sentiments about what they are thankful for this Thanksgiving. Take a look at what they have to say:

I’m thankful that I survived Covid and that Joe Biden won.
Harold T.
Katzman Center for Living Resident

I’m thankful for my family.

I’m thankful that we’re all healthy and that we have a team that’s focused on keeping our residents healthy.

I’m thankful for my three-year-old daughter. She helps me keep everything in perspective during these difficult times.
Jill Tura

I’m thankful that finally our team is almost intact again! We were down 3 Unit Managers. Temeka assumed the role on third in October, Geri returned this week and Karen will be back next month!
