Art Show with Chelsea Jewish Residents and Chelsea High School

Cohen Florence Levine Estates (also known as The Estates on Admiral’s Hill) held a Community Art Show in conjunction with Chelsea High School on October 20. Featuring amazing art work by students from Chelsea High School as well as the residents and staff of the Chelsea Jewish Lifecare, the show included over 40 pieces of original art. Attendees enjoyed refreshments, live music and the opportunity to meet the artists in person.

“I am so impressed with the incredible talent of the Chelsea High School students as well as our residents and staff members,” states Yari Valez, Executive Director of the Estates on Admiral’s Hill, which was the assisted living residences hosting the show. “This is a marvelous exhibit that showcases the passion and ability of our community.” She added, “Art plays such an important role in our lives; this show is a testament to the fact that great artists can be discovered at any age.”

The art work will encompass a wide variety of forms, including but not limited to paintings, sculptures, photography, canvas art, ceramics and prints. Programs listing each piece with artist’s name will be given to attendees.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for the Chelsea community to come together and unveil some very talented artists,” explained Alecia Augspurg, Lead Teacher Visual Art at Chelsea High School. “We are excited to partner with the Chelsea Jewish Lifecare and bring together so many gifted artists.”

In addition to the assisted living, art work was also featured from the residents and staff of the Leonard Florence Center for Living, Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home and the Chelsea Jewish Foundation.
