A Thanksgiving Message from Adam Berman, Legacy Lifecare President

Dear Residents and Families,
Thanksgiving will indeed be different this year as the state and country are brace for another wave of COVID-19. Our gatherings will be smaller. Many of us will not be able to be with our loved ones. But we cannot lose sight that this holiday is a time to give thanks. Whether we are thankful for a cherished family member, a holiday dinner or a nostalgic memory, Thanksgiving is a special day to reflect on the good things in our lives.
We are happy to see more activity in our residences as we balance resident engagement and quality of life with appropriate safety measures. We have witnessed amazing creativity from our families and community to celebrate birthdays and important milestones. Truly, the resilience of our community continues to inspire us and provide us with hope.
Please be assured that we are doing everything we can to take the hard lessons from the spring and better prepare for what may come. Our updated protocols and procedures are firmly in place, based upon the latest guidance from state and federal health experts. These practices will ensure the continued safety of our residents, families, and staff. Our goal is to be as proactive and transparent as possible.
As we explore new avenues of communication, we want you to know how important your feedback is to us. Please take a minute to fill out the family communication survey or email us directly at emails@chelseajewish.org. Also, feel free to provide us with the contact information of other family members who would like to receive our monthly newsletters. We want to hear from you!
This year I’ll spend Thanksgiving with my immediate family. While it will not be the large gathering of past holidays, it will still be meaningful. I am so thankful for my loving family, our amazing staff and our wonderful residents and families. You make me proud every single day.
Wishing you a very happy, safe and healthy Thanksgiving!
Adam Berman
President
