A Letter to Our Community from President, Adam Berman

Dear Residents and Families,

Communication is vital to our organization, which is why we plan on providing you with an in-depth look at our residences on a monthly basis. Going forward, we will publish a newsletter to highlight news, activities, and information as well as the individuals who play such integral roles in our skilling nursing and assisted living residences.

As you know, we have faced many challenging and unprecedented situations since the beginning of the pandemic. I am eternally grateful to our residents and staff for their resilience, optimism, and cooperation. Admittedly, there were difficult days, but we persevered and, as a result, our organization is stronger for it.

Please note we need to remain vigilant by doing everything possible to protect the health and safety of our residents and staff. Broad scale testing continues in every residence, as does frequent temperature checks and monitoring throughout the day. We strictly follow all MA DPH, CDC, and other state and federal regulations to maintain effective infection control. Everything we do is to keep our buildings safe.

It is encouraging that the tide has turned and we are slowly returning to a “new” normal. There is activity in our buildings again. This is a wonderful sight to behold! Outdoor family visits, live concerts, and interactive card and trivia games have been effective in helping us all stay connected.

Understandably, indoor visitations are on everyone’s mind, especially as the weather gets cooler. We recently received new guidance from the Department of Health to allow us to have limited visits while balancing the need for proper precautions. Because our ability to have indoor visitation is dependent on the individual situation at each of our residences, look for instructions and updates from the Executive Director. We thank you in advance for your continued patience and understanding during this difficult time.

I look forward to sharing news, ideas, and feedback in future newsletters. We are proud of our residents and families, and so pleased you are part of the Chelsea Jewish Lifecare family.

Thank you for all that you do.

Warm regards,
Adam
