What’s Happening at Brudnick Center for Living

Our beloved Museum Of Fine Arts annual “Art In Bloom” program returned again on May 3.  Our residents love this event! “Art In Bloom,” a program where local Garden Clubs create flower arrangements inspired by the museum’s works of art, features colorful works of art. This year, the focus was on the Armchair Guided Tours. The program is available on Channel 37 so that all residents can enjoy the beauty created by this museum exhibition.

Also coming up in May is the Jewish Holiday of Shavuot, which will be celebrated on May 17 and 18. It commemorates the giving of the Ten Commandments to Moses on Mount Sinai.  During this holiday, It is traditional to eat cheese products. To that end, we will hold “Cheesecake Parties” in each of our households. Residents will be able to choose from a variety of delicious toppings. Looks like May is chock full of fun events!

Erica Mendez (CNA), our Activities Assistant on our 2nd floor for Residents Living with Dementia, has implemented a very popular exercise class.  There are many active participants in the daily program, and we look to more joining in the future.
