Message from Megin Hemmerling, North Shore Regional President

Dear Residents and Families,
As we prepare to say goodbye 2022, it seems fitting to reflect upon the past year. I marvel at your resiliency and spirit displayed every day. I am truly grateful to all of you. Our residents and families are what makes our Peabody campus so exceptional.
Our renovations continue! The wallpaper is finished in the Great Room at Brudnick, creating a fresh and colorful new look. Although flooring has yet to be completed, we are hoping to set up the room soon to allow for small group visits and/or activities in that space. We have all missed our residents and families being able to leave their household and go to a communal space to enjoy each other’s company. This will change very soon!
Kaplan Estates is getting a new electronic food services employee for their dining room. Appropriately called “Servi,” the hospitality robot lightens the load for our dining room staff by navigating crowded spaces, busing tables, and quickly transporting food from kitchen to tableside. I have no doubt that Servi will become a popular fixture in the dining room.
A friendly reminder that all visitors must still wear masks while visiting regardless of vaccination status. This rule will go a long way in preventing the spread of infection and keeping the winter viruses at bay.
Wishing a very Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to each and every one of you. Here’s to a joyful and healthy 2023!
All the best,
Megin
