Dear Residents and Families,

Greetings and happy new year to all! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season with time spent celebrating with family and friends. The start of the new year is a good time to set goals, and I am truly excited to share our focus areas for Chelsea Jewish to continue to be the best place for our residents to live and receive care.

Our employees are our greatest strength, and the recruitment, development and retention of our employees remain a top priority in 2023. Despite the tremendous staffing challenges that healthcare faces across the country, we are proud that we have never had to resort to using temporary employees or agency staffing to maintain our staffing levels. In 2023, we will continue our efforts to partner with local schools and build our own pipeline of qualified candidates while working with staff to find improvements and efficiencies in our work.

Renovations and upgrades of our campuses are also key initiatives that we will undertake in 2023. In particular, we will restart the process of updating the rooms at Katzman Family Center for Living. We will also focus on building enhancements at Cohen Florence and Florence & Chafetz.

Activities and events to engage our residents and families have always been a key component to providing care while building a sense of community. In 2023, we will continue to provide these opportunities and explore new and unique experiences that we can make available to our residents.

I look forward to providing you with updates on our progress. I also enjoy sharing stories and wins from our residents and staff in these notes, and I invite you to share those with our leadership throughout the year. Here’s to another amazing year for the residents, families, and employees of Chelsea Jewish!

All the best,

Kae
