CHELSEA — She says she’s one of the 10 luckiest people on earth, yet Andrea Landis Solomon, who has multiple sclerosis, is confined to an electronic wheelchair and can only move her head, eyes, mouth, tongue, lips and very occasionally an elbow or arm.
“I feel like I want to scratch an itch on my ear, but I can’t lift my hand or move my fingers,” she wrote in an email. She also experiences a sensation of being unable to tell where her hands and feet, arms and legs are in space, unless she’s looking at them.
