Eastern Bank gives $25,000 to JRCL

Swampscott – Eastern Bank Chairman and CEO Richard Holbrook and football legend Doug Flutie recognized 49 community-based organizations — including six organizations focused on home foreclosure prevention programs — that earned grants totaling $800,000.
The Jewish Rehabilitation Centers for Living, based in Swampscott, received a $25,000 grant. The organizations were honored at the fifth annual Eastern Bank Community Quarterback event March 24 at University of Massachusetts Boston. The “Community Quarterback” program was started in 2005 to recognize leading organizations in the community and to date has awarded more than $3.5 million to more than 200 organizations.
