Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home Poised for the Future – Part 1

Editor’s Note: This is part one of a two-part series on Chelsea Jewish Lifecare’s vision for the future.
CHELSEA — The Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home will soon undergo an $11 million renovation to create a more family centered home believed to be a national model.
The model will be similar to the “greenhouse” concept now used in 10 houses of 10 residents each at the Leonard Florence Center for Living. Rather than the traditional nursing home model of a communal dining room serving institutional-type food, long corridors and a nursing station as the focal point of each floor, the new model will be more family-centered.
