Scheduler – Harriet and Ralph Kaplan Estates – Full Time
Position Summary: The primary purpose of this job position is to ensure appropriate scheduling of all licensed and non-licensed nursing staff to cover shifts 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensure adequate licensed and non-licensed nursing staff to meet CJL staffing patterns and federal and state requirements;
- Review, record, and manage requests for time off in accordance with CJL’s policies and procedures;
- Maintain staff attendance records;
- Update staffing sheets on an ongoing basis;
- Replace any call-outs as soon as possible;
- Monitor schedules to ensure that overtime is not incurred without the prior approval of the Administrator
- Update and file monthly nursing paperwork
- Complete nursing chart audits
- Update, print and assign weekly RCA assignments
- Assist with weekly payroll
Qualifications:
- Must have computer experience;
- Experience as a scheduler in a health care setting preferred;
- ADP experience preferred;
- Must possess outstanding organizational skills;
- Must be able to interact effectively and professional with residents, family members, visitors, governmental agencies/personnel and other staff members
