Scheduler and Business Office Admin Support-Full Time

Position Summary: The dual purpose of this job position is to ensure appropriate scheduling of all licensed and non-licensed nursing staff to cover shifts 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and to ensure the completion of resident monthly billing functions.

Hours: Full time / 37.5 Hours (Monday-Friday)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure adequate licensed and non-licensed nursing staff to meet CJL staffing patterns and federal and state requirements;
  • Review, record, and manage requests for time off in accordance with CJL’s policies and procedures;
  • Maintain staff attendance records;
  • Update staffing sheets on an ongoing basis;
  • Replace any call-outs as soon as possible;
  • Monitor schedules to ensure that overtime is not incurred without the prior approval of the Administrator
  • Track annual staff education needs for resident care department
  • Oversee scheduling of residents for onsite specialist visits (podiatry, dermatology, dentist)
  • Assist with weekly payroll
  • Complete and submit monthly ancillary billing charges for residents
  • Submit monthly LTC insurance claims
  • Provide correspondence to residents and families regarding rent increases, payment reports for tax purposes, monthly invoices etc…
  • Field calls related to resident billing and monthly invoices

Qualifications:

  • Must have computer experience;
  • Experience as a scheduler in a health care setting preferred;
  • ADP experience preferred;
  • Must possess outstanding organizational skills;
  • Must be able to interact effectively and professional with residents, family members, visitors, governmental agencies/personnel and other staff members
