What’s Happening at LFCL

A family member and resident in wheelchair visit indoors for the first time since COVID beganIn-Room Family Visits

You can feel the positive energy going around LFCL as staff and residents are welcome back families. This is such an exciting time for everyone. You just have to look at the residents’ faces to see the impact of these reunions. They are emotional, joyous and much-needed. 2020 has been a difficult year for everyone, but now there is light at the end of the tunnel.

The residents can’t wait to see, hug, kiss and laugh with their loved ones. For the staff, there’s nothing better than seeing the residents truly smile and laugh with family and friends. Barbara Ryan was our first resident to have an in room visit. The reunion between her and her mother was so poignant. Our families and residents mean so much to us, and we are thrilled to be able to reunite them with their loved ones.

Passover

This year, Passover festivities were not the norm, but the holiday was still warm and festive. Instead of the traditional sit-down Seder, the residence streamed a Seder service. Long-term residents who had been vaccinated were able to partake in a delicious Passover meal, with all the traditional favorite foods.
