Leonard Florence Center Residents and Staff Visit Disney World!
Last week, six ALS and MS residents and seven staff members at the Leonard Florence Center enjoyed a six day trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. And what a time they had! The group visited the Magic Kingdom, where they watched the incredible Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, went on the Jingle Cruise and watched the magnificent castle lighting, which celebrated the start of the holiday season. The Animal Kingdom was also a favored destination. Attractions included the much-talked about new 3 D Pandora Park, which explores the World of Avatar. Visits to the Africa side of the park as well as Na’vi River Journey Ride were also on the agenda.
Amidst rides, shows and exhibits, there was a wonderful spirit of camaraderie and a sense of adventure. Everyone raved about the Grand Floridian hotel! The café was a popular destination for dinner; the spacious accommodations, lively lobby and beautiful grounds enhanced the overall experience.
Festive with holiday decorations, Disney World is more magical than ever this time of year.
Both residents and staff agreed it was a trip they’ll never forget.
