June Davis Named Aviv Centers for Living Director of Memory Services and Support

June Davis has been named Director of Memory Services and Support at Aviv Centers for Living (Aviv). Davis will be helping to educate, set policy and consult throughout Aviv’s continuum of care to help Aviv’s residents and clients maximize their independence, individuality and dignity. “Aviv is committed to quality programming throughout our continuum. Aviv’s many services and levels should have seamless, consistent memory support services. June’s advanced training in memory care coupled with her tenure with Aviv made her a natural candidate for this newly created position,” said Stephen H. Neff, Aviv Centers for Living President and CEO.
“I am very excited to be named Director of Memory Services and Support and appreciative of the commitment Aviv is making to memory care,” said Davis. Along with educational programs for the community and training for employees, Davis will be the onsite expert in memory care providing information and resources on the full spectrum of memory care from early-stage cognitive impairment through late-stage Alzheimer’s and everything in between.
She has been Director of Aviv’s Shapiro-Rudolph Adult Day Center (SRADC) for 19 years. Prior to that, she was a consultant to Aviv’s Jewish Rehabilitation Center Resident Life Department and Activities Director at SRADC. June began her professional career as a business owner and entrepreneur. She holds a BA from Boston University in Sociology, and an MS in Recreational Therapy from Northeastern University. She is a certified trainer in Alzheimer’s care.
Davis will be retaining her role as the Director of Aviv’s Shapiro-Rudolph Adult Day Center. Michelle Mazzone RN has been appointed the site manager and will manage the day to day operations of the SRADC.
