Congratulations to Karen Saenz, Nurse Manager at Katzman Center for Living

Karen Saenz has been the Nurse Manager on the 2nd floor at KCL for the past two years. She has done a terrific job and is adored by residents and staff alike.

Karen started with Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home over 10 years ago. She switched to home care for a few years, but then returned to long term care, which was her passion. At KCL, she was a valued member of the nursing team, managing the second floor with ease, confidence and efficiency.

The  Chelsea Jewish organization, recognizing Karen’s skills as  nurse and leader, offered her a similar position at its sister facility, Deutches Altenheim. Karen has accepted the position.

KCL Executive Director Ed Stewart echoes the sentiments of the entire staff when he announced the staffing change. “Karen’s presence at KCL provided stability and leadership that was essential to our success,” commented Stewart. “She will always a member of the KCL family. We will miss her and wish her all the best.”
