Behind the Scenes at Katzman Center for Living

Two Katzman residents celebrate Hanukkah

Amidst festive parties, colorful decorations and much laughter, residents and staff celebrated the holidays in style. Residents savored the traditional jelly doughnuts during Hanukkah while creative gingerbread houses, hand-made by the residents, were displayed on every floor. No doubt about it: we have a very artistic group.

Janice Cole, the much-admired social worker at CJL, retired on January 6 after nine years. Thank you, Janice, for your dedication, compassion, and hard work. We will miss you!

Our New Year’s party was a big hit, especially when the “Mensch on The Bench” stopped by to dance and spread holiday cheer. Residents enjoyed their holiday lights tour, where they viewed the dazzling holiday decorations on display in the area. Hot chocolate and doughnuts rounded out the trip. On the entertainment front, Charles Paull and son treated residents to a lively performance with a harmonica and accordion. Looks like 2023 is off to a great start!
