We believe the opportunity to socialize and participate in stimulating activities contributes significantly to one’s overall health and quality of life. Jeffrey and Susan Brudnick Center for Living Memory Support, located in the Waldfogel Health Center, provides a wide range of activities, entertainment, social outings and programs that reflect our residents’ interests.
Designed by Robert Hoover of HBLA, Inc. Portsmouth, New Hampshire specifically for a memory impaired population, the Memory Services at Jeffrey and Susan Brudnick Center for Living Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation showcase two remarkable therapeutic gardens. These colorful gardens were created on the premise that nature is a therapeutic and restorative medium. Enclosed for safety, the gardens allow residents to enjoy gardening activities as well as savor the spectacular beauty of the outdoors.
Jeffrey and Susan Brudnick Center for Living is certified to implement the highly acclaimed “Music & Memory” program. This program has had tremendous success in reaching individuals with dementia where other methods have failed. Personalized music selections are compiled and placed on iPods; these musical favorites tap deep memories not lost to dementia. Even for persons with severe dementia, music can facilitate deep emotional recall.
