Established in 1982, Shapiro-Rudolph Adult Day Health provides a safe and secure program for individuals who need additional help during the day. This is a terrific option for families as adults can get the help they need while continuing to live in their own home.
Our highly skilled staff helps those with diverse physical and cognitive issues to function at their best — emotionally, physically and intellectually. Working with adults, we first conduct an assessment of the senior’s needs. Next, we design a plan to promote self-esteem, independence and dignity. Our goal: to improve the physical and cognitive skills, while at the same time, create a schedule that incorporates interests, social opportunities and activities.
Located in the Waldfogel Health Center on our North Shore campus, the staff is comprised of RNs, LPNs, Certified Nursing Assistants, Licensed Social Workers and Activity Staff. Serving approximately 45 participants a day, the adult day health program is open Monday through Friday. Our team works diligently to improve the physical and mental well-being of clients, providing quality care while helping them improve and maintain their self-esteem and individual level of independence.
It’s also important to note that our Adult Day Health staff is trained in the Habilitation approach to dementia care using the “Caring for People with Alzheimer’s Disease” program created by the Alzheimer’s Association/MANH Chapter. We take great pride in our seniors receiving outstanding medical and rehabilitative care that is best suited to their specific needs.
