The Brudnick Center for Living is getting in the holiday spirit! Cookie decorating and pastry making sessions will be held for all eight days of Hanukkah. Residents and staff will have access to colorful frostings, sprinkles, cookie-cutters, and decorative molds. The best part of all: everyone gets to eat the delicious results! Beautiful menorahs will be displayed in each of the households and will be lit every night in celebration of the holiday.
Residents will also have the opportunity to build their very own gingerbread house. Each resident will be given a gingerbread house kit to make his or her decorative gingerbread house. Individual assistance will be provided to any resident who requires extra help. Hot chocolate and seasonal movies enhance the holiday cheer.
For staff members who have volunteered to work on Christmas, lunch will be delivered from one of the employees’ favorite nearby restaurants. All in all, the December holidays are shaping up to be both festive and memorable.
