Health Insurance

Regular full-time employees who work a minimum of thirty (30) hours per week are eligible to participate in our group health insurance programs. Employees are eligible for coverage after sixty (60) days of employment. Health insurance deductions are paid by payroll deductions on a weekly basis

Dental Insurance

Regular full-time employees who work a minimum of thirty (30) hours per week are eligible to participate in our group dental insurance program at a minimal cost. Employees are eligible for coverage after sixty (60) days of employment. Dental insurance deductions are paid by payroll deductions on a weekly basis.

Vision Insurance

Employees who work a three (3) day work week equivalent (22.5 hours per week for the Peabody Campus and 24 hours per week for the Chelsea campuses) are eligible to participate in our voluntary vision program at a minimal cost. If enrolled, coverage is effective the first day of the month following employee’s date of hire. Vision insurance deductions are paid by payroll deductions on a weekly basis.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

Employees who work a minimum of thirty (30) hours per week are eligible to enroll in a Flexible Spending Account, regardless of whether or not employee is enrolled in either of our health/dental plans. Employees may enroll following sixty (60) days of continuous service. Employees may designate a minimal deduction of $150.00 per year or a maximum of $2,700.00 per year. Life Insurance (AD&D)

Employees who work a minimum of thirty (30) hours per week are eligible to participate in the CJL group life insurance program. Coverage is effective the first day of the month following sixty (60) days of completed continuous active employment. Coverage is at one times (1X) your salary to a maximum of $100,000 and is paid in full by the Chelsea Jewish Lifecare.

Voluntary Benefits

Employees who work a three (3) day work week equivalent (22.5 hours per week for the Peabody Campus and 24 hours per week for the Chelsea Campuses) are eligible to participate in CJL voluntary benefits program. This program is provided through UNUM. If enrolled, coverage is effective the first day of the month following employee’s date of hire. The premiums are calculated dependent upon the employer’s age and salary. The cost is paid in full by the employee.

Retirement Plan

An employee becomes a participant in the Elective Deferral portion of the Plan on his/her first date of employment with the employer. You may choose to contribute up to 100% of your pay not to exceed the IRS limits. Employees are always 100% vested in all the contributions. You may invest your contributions and employer contributions in any of the investment options offered by the plan. Please refer to the summary plan description for detailed information. Employees are encouraged to confer with a financial advisor to determine if this plan meets their needs.

Paid Time Off

Regular full-time and regular part-time employees who work a three (3) day work week equivalent (22.5 hours per week for the Peabody Campus and 24 hours per week for the Chelsea Campuses) are eligible for paid time off (PTO) for the purpose of vacation, sick, and personal time. PTO begins to accrue from the first day of employment however it is not available for use until the employee has completed three (3) months of benefit level service. At the end of the calendar year, employees may carry over their entire balance into the next year. At no time shall an employee’s total PTO balance be greater than 75% of their annualized accrual. PTO is accrued on a weekly basis throughout the calendar year (1/1 – 12/31).

**Please note that of the PTO accrual, 33 percent is allocated to vacation time. As CJL pays out only vacation time at separation from employment, 33 percent of the accrued and unused PTO will be paid out upon termination.

Holidays

CJL observes six (6) paid holidays. The six recognized holidays are: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Employees are eligible for holiday pay at date of hire. For employees scheduled to work less than 40, but more than 22.5 hours weekly: The amount of holiday pay will be pro-rated in accordance with the number of scheduled hours of employment per week. Employees will be paid the pro-rated hours even when a holiday falls on a day the employee was not scheduled to work. See chart below.

Employee Birthday

In addition to six (6) paid holidays, regular full-time and regular part-time employees who work a three (3) day work week equivalent (22.5 hours per week for the Peabody Campus and 24 hours per week for the Chelsea Campuses) are entitled to take time off for their birthday. Employees may take their birthday holiday on their actual birth date or 30 days thereafter. The employee must submit a request form to their supervisor in advance.

Tuition Reimbursement

Regular full-time and regular part-time employees who work a three (3) day work week equivalent (22.5 hours per week for the Peabody Campus and 24 hours per week for the Chelsea Campuses) who have completed one (1) year of employment are eligible to participate in the tuition reimbursement program. Upon approval, tuition will be paid for job-related courses up to a maximum of $1,000.00 per calendar year for full-time regular employees who work 30-40 hours per week. Employees who work between 22.5 and 29 hours per week will receive up to a maximum of $600.00 per calendar year. A grade of a B or better is necessary for reimbursement.

Employee Referral Bonus

It is the policy of CJL to encourage its employees to refer qualified candidates for vacant positions within our organization. To reward our employees for their recruitment efforts, we have developed the Employee Referral Bonus Program. Any employee who successfully refers a candidate for a vacant position is eligible for a referral bonus. (Bonus amount varies per business unit.)
