The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position will provide support to associate MA facilities located in West Roxbury, Newton, Wellesley, and Jamaica Plain. The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the Business Units and HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s operations, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven experience as a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong employee relations skills, including conflict resolution, and ability to foster a positive work environment.
  • Proficiency in change management, being able to navigate complex issues while minimizing disruption to business operations.
  • Thorough understanding of labor laws, ethical guidelines, and the ability to implement policies that uphold the company’s standards and values.
  • Ability to interpret HR metrics, understand the implications of data trends, and use insights to drive improvements in HR practices.
  • Knowledge of benefits, compensation, and other HR programs.
  • Strong understanding and ability to interpret, and apply the appropriate HR practices, employment laws, compliance requirements, guidelines, regulations, and policies.
  • Ability to convey information clearly and persuasively.
  • Ability to influence and drive consensus among diverse groups, ensuring that HR’s voice is heard and respected in strategic discussions.
  • Excellent verbal/ written communication skills and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others in fast paced environment.
  • Must be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
