We strictly adhere to the standards set by the state and federal government as well as the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the MA Department of Public Health (DPH).

Guided by our public health experts Harriett and Ralph Kaplan Estates has enhanced our safety and cleaning standards, and revised all protocols throughout all common areas, staff areas and in resident apartments. We have invested in new back pack disinfectant spray technologies that allow us to clean more often with greater efficiency and obtain an improved disinfectant coverage. We will continue to implement new and improved protocols and procedures to ensure a continued focus on the health and safety of all residents, staff and visitors.

COVID-19 Commitment to Clean FAQ

What new cleaning procedures have been implemented?
  • All common areas including entry ways, elevators and public bathrooms are sanitized with new backpack sprayer technology regularly. High touch surface areas, such as counters, door knobs, chairs and elevator buttons are regularly sanitized.
  • Resident apartments receive a deep cleaning and sanitization once a week utilizing the new backpack sprayer technology.
  • Staff areas, including entries, lounges, and locker areas are thoroughly cleaned regularly, and receive a deep cleaning and sanitization once a week utilizing the new backpack sprayer technology.
Are products used to sanitize non-toxic and safe?
The products used in common areas and resident apartments is a disinfectant called Hospital 256. It is safe but should not be sprayed on or too near a resident, so residents are not in their apartment during sanitization. The Hospital 256 product is also used in common areas and residents and staff are not in the areas during application.

Assisted living is a long-term care option for individuals who need a level of assistance higher than that of independent living, but not as extensive as a nursing home or hospital. Assisted living residences provide an independent lifestyle with assistance when you need it.
Are the Kaplan Estates staffed 24 hours a day?
Yes, we have staff available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including weekends and holidays.

We welcome people of all faiths and backgrounds. We provide worship services for multiple faiths.
